Tuesday – Cozumel 11 am to 8 pm… Crystal booked us an all-inclusive shore excursion… private beach (only 200 people), pools, all you can eat EVERYTHING… TOTAL RELAXATION… aaahhh

Wednesday – FUN DAY AT SEA

Thursday – leave cruiseship… suffer depression… probably try to figure out how we can stay… won’t succeed and will have to come home anyway…

Weekend Update

I’m a little excited… this is the last weekend update I’ll give before vacation! THIS Friday (YAY) we leave for Tampa… aaah smile…

Anyways… this weekend was pretty low-key.

Friday – went out for Mexican with Brian, Crystal, and Caleb… then we all headed to Publix to see how much money we could save with our coupons… I’ll post on that later :)

Finished up our shopping, then headed home to watch Entourage… started season 2… it takes us awhile to get through them! haha

Saturday slept in… had absolutely NOTHING that HAD to be done… so lounged around being lazy most of the morning… Daniel made a GIANT breakfast… then decided he was stir-crazy and we needed to go somewhere. So good ole standby when you have nothing to do and really don’t want to spend any money… Sam’s for samples :) Walked around Sam’s, then headed to Target and decided we’d rather not drench ourselves anymore running from the car to a store… so went back home.

Saturday night went over to Blake’s new house (which by the way is GINORMOUS… you could actually get lost in his basement)… hung out with Katie, Blake and Robin! Had a lot of fun, had a yummy dinner, watched a little football, and learned a new card game… really miss those guys and we all promised we’d hang out more often!

Sunday did the whole church thing! Mike preached about why our prayers never seem to go higher than the ceiling… GOOD STUFF! If you’re a wife, you’ll know why I especially liked his message… :) He talked about the verse in 2 Peter (I think) where husbands are to honor their wives so their prayers aren’t hindered… so now I’m pretty sure Daniel has to “honor” me and get rid of the rigged up projection screen in my living room! haha just kidding sweetie

Anyway, made a GIANT pot of the perfect rainy day weather food… vegetable soup, took a nap, then organized the ridiculous mess that was my bathroom. Still trying to decide whether I like it or not, but at least it’s better! Oh and I watched The Memory Keeper’s Daughter… I started reading the book earlier this year and I’m really glad I didn’t finish it and just watched the movie instead. Books always affect me more than movies… Oh my gosh it was SUCH a tearjerker so I can’t imagine how much of a basket-case I might have been through the book!

And by the way… if you read mine and Daniel’s tweets… I DID NOT cheat last night playing parcheesi… pretty sure Daniel was having a sore loser moment :)

Alrighty… I’m Tiffany Mead and that’s your weekend update! ;)

Weekend Update

WOW! I just realized the last couple weeks or so I’ve only posted like once  a week! Sorry :( Anyhoo… here’s what we were up to this weekend…

Friday – went grocery shopping. Didn’t save as much as I wanted because I needed stuff I didn’t have coupons for BOO… Anyway, after our shopping trip, we headed home to clean up the house… mind-blowingly exciting Friday night! haha

Saturday – hosted a coupon party at my house. Lots of fun… learned a lot and got a LOT of coupons from the coupon guru! Really excited to put to good use all of my new knowledge :) We were supposed to go to the Yellow Daisy Festival with Brian and Crystal after the coupon party, but since it ran over by about an hour or so, decided not to… Crystal and I ran some errands, picked up wings, and then went back to her house to watch the Georgia game. Daniel and I left at half-time so I could watch the rest of the game in my bed :) haha And we had a bunch of last minute church things to get done…

Sunday – church then to the Kilgore’s for an end of summer cookout… so much yummy food and dessert… and oh the pineapple :) YUM!! Afterwards we went back to our house, watched more football, I took a nap, and then we pretty much did nothing the rest of the day! Kinda nice…

Anyways, that was our weekend… hopefully I’ll post more this week! Work’s been a little hectic :)

Weekend Update

Friday – got off work a little early, then headed to Walmart with Daniel to pick up food for the FUSION Back to School cookout! Had a GREAT time at the Kilgore’s… think most of the teenagers ended up in the pool, whether they wanted to or not :)

Saturday – slept in a little… then headed over to Brian and Crystal’s to borrow their truck. Picked up pine straw, flowers, and some other stuff from Home Depot… then headed back home.

The plan was for me to plant flowers and for Daniel to spread pine straw in the other beds. Problem – while I was walking towards the mailbox to plant flowers I saw a lizard climb up and over into the bed I was getting ready to put my hands in! AGGHGHG… so actually turned out Daniel pulling weeds out of my flower bed and looking for the lizard while I put out pine straw :) I was brave though… after Daniel pulled the weeds I planted the flowers. I never saw Mr. Lizard again… thank goodness!!!

Finished up those few things, got showered and headed back over to Brian and Crystal’s. Crystal and I went to Hancock to look at fabric, didnt find anything affordable. By the way, how come the only stuff I ever LOVE is at least $20 a yard?? Added that up and to make my own drapes it would have been over $120 a window! CRAZY!!

Anyway, we shopped around some other stores, then headed back to their house to watch the Georgia game before heading to the Braves game with Danny and Cindy. Speaking of… we had the MOST redneck, DRUNK, LOUD, ignorant idiots behind us at the game… seriously considered moving out of the State because I was sooo incredibly embarrased to share the same State as those idiots… pretty sure that’s why the world thinks we’re all toothless morons! Okay done venting about that…

Sunday – church! Jay did some serious PREEEAACCCHING! And I really do mean it Jay :) Everything went smoothly and no sound system bugs… went to Shane’s afterwards for lunch, then I headed to work for a few hours while Daniel went to the race…

Monday – aaahhh yay! Absolutely love Monday holidays! Well probably would have loved them more if we didn’t spend our Labor Day actually doing labor! Daniel worked outside and I have to say that I had NO idea we actually have four corners on our house. One of the corners has been invaded by pompous grass just about the whole time we’ve lived there. Daniel chopped those bad boys down and it looks SOOO GREAT! Also, cut down the ones next to the driveway. Pretty sure as soon as burn season opens up, we’re burning those suckers down! :) SOOO over pompous grass… seems like they take over EVERYTHING!

Speaking of… funny story, I just about hit the mailbox this morning because the pompous grass weren’t there to guide my car down the driveway! haha I used to know I was good if I could hear the car hitting the pompous grass :) Now I’m going to have to pay attention :(

While he was busy outside, I did a massive cleaning of our kitchen… I’m building a yard sale MOUNTAIN in our garage :) So much for parking in their this winter…

Also, I know absolutely NO ONE cares about this, but I took down the blinds from our kitchen window and it has made the biggest difference! It’s so sunny, bright, and clean in there now! CRAZY how just one little thing can make such a huge difference… kinda wanted to sit in my kitchen Monday when it was all said and done and just stare at it :) hehe I’m a dork

That’s probably way too long of an update :) Better quit just in case you’re still reading :)

I’m Tiffany Mead and that’s your weekend update!

So proud…

It occurred to me that I never bragged on my first week of couponing :) So here goes (keep in mind I still had to buy several things that were NOT on sale and I did NOT have a coupon for)

First week savings $93.77!!!! SO PROUD!!

I spent $108.62 total in groceries but really got $199.51 worth of groceries! Not too bad for my first week :)

My most exceptional deals were:

  • body wash for 19 cents
  • Dove deordant (the new fancy kind) for 29 cents
  • AND I found a deal on skittles… wouldn’t normally buy BUT it was a money-maker deal, so basically the skittles were $0.64 each and I had coupons for $1 off each… I bought 3 packets… so I MADE $1.08 and got to eat candy :)

Not too shabby for my first experience with coupons :)

Weekend Update

Uh… so I’m having a hard time remembering what the heck we did this weekend! haha okay… I got it :)

Friday – went to dinner with Brian, Crystal and Caleb (don’t know why I keep ordering chicken tacos at Chili’s – not as good as they used to be)… then went over to their house to play Pop Culture and cards which Crystal and I kicked tail at OF COURSE!!

Saturday – I slept in, well tried to… Apollo woke me up at 7:30 to go to the bathroom. Took him out and he went back to sleep. Me, not so much. Didn’t feel really great Saturday or Friday for that matter… pretty sure I have an ear infection, working its way to a sinus infection. GRRRR…

Anyways, went and got my free haircut! THANK YOU SUPER SAVER magazine! :) Then Daniel and I went on our first official coupon grocery shopping marathon… pretty sure that’s what we’re going to call it! haha Saved a TON of money which I’ll post about later…

Went back home, had dinner, and hung out at the house while Daniel got prepped for his sermon. Turned down last-minute Falcons tickets since Daniel was preaching the next morning :( Daniel’s so responsible!!

Sunday – everything went flawlessly! Setup was a breeze and everything ran like absolute clock-work. Daniel preached and did an absolutely, amazing job! Didn’t seem nervous at all and I kept the energy drinks away from him so he would take his time :)

Went out for Mexican after church, ran by Publix to get the 17 inch tall Sunday paper, cut out coupons for awhile, took a nap, and then hung out with Daniel for the evening…

Pretty good weekend :)
